MOUNTAIN MARATHON

Starting at Seathwaite Farm, you'll follow Grains Gill to Sprinkling Tarn, the highest point on the route (624m) with panoramic views. From there get ready for fast, beautiful trails as you head down past Styhead Tarn and back into Seathwaite.

Next you'll run trails towards Rosthwaite and follow along the River Derwent until you split off and start making your approach towards start of the climb up Catbells (451m). Once you summit Catbells you'll get spectacular views over Derwent Water!

From here you’ll head back to Seathwaite and finish up by completing a small loop up to Sprinking Tarn and Styhead Tarn. An epic day out with mountain scenery, views of the sublime Derwent Water and plenty of challenging hills, it has it all!

HALF MARATHON

Starting at Seathwaite Farm, you'll follow Grains Gill to Sprinkling Tarn, a challenging ascent to the highest point on the route (624m). From there get ready for fast, beautiful trails as you head down past Styhead Tarn and back into Seathwaite.

Next you'll head out towards Rosthwaite and follow along the sublime river Derwent through Borrowdale Valley. When you reach the colourful Hows Wood you’ll turn and follow the winding, lush green trails from Broadslack Gill back towards Seathwaite.

An epic route, with a challenging mountain start and technical trails throughout, you'll experience the very best of this idyllic location!

TRAIL 10K

Your race starts by heading out along beautiful, winding trails towards Black Sike before heading for Rosthwaite and the River Derwent. You’ll then turn left and take on the big challenge of the day, a 150m steep climb up past Castle Crag.

You’ll be rewarded with stunning views before dropping back down into lush green trails towards Seatoller and finally the home stretch to the finish at Seathwaite. A lovely trail run with a steep, challenging climb in the middle (most people will hike this section and that’s ok!) you'll have a huge sense of achievement at the end!

TRAIL 5K

A lovely undulating 5km route through the valley of Borrowdale. The route follows lush green trails of Black Sike, into Seatoller and on a small section of road before heading back on the trails through Borrowdale Yews.

This race route is ideal for a newbie trail runner or someone looking to explore the local trails without steep climbs!
