From 5ks to marathons, and even a mini runners 1 mile race, Trail Pursuit welcomes all levels of runner, and most importantly, anyone with a passion for the outdoors.

Race Registration will take place from 3-8pm on Friday 28th May. Race Registration will also be open between 7-8.45am on Saturday 29th May.
Look out for signs to the registration tents, they will be clearly signed!
Start Times: Marathon: 07:30, Half Marathon: 08:30, 10K: 09:30, 5K: 10:00, Kids 1 mile: 14:00.
Please ensure all race numbers are visible to the marshals, as you will need to check in at each feed station on route. The courses will be fully marked and marshalled so no need for navigation and there is feed stations every 5 miles.
There is no cut off times on these races, as we would rather people enjoy the run without any pressure of cut offs.
After your race there will be a mix of yoga sessions to help you unwind. Led by our qualified yoga teachers, suitable for beginner & experienced yogies.
We are lucky to be able to offer wild swimming after your race. Cool off in the fresh water!
Our venue: Brathay Hall, touches the North Shore of Lake Windermere & have their own beach. We will be staggering wild swim times for all race distances.

Location: Brathay Hall, Ambleside, Cumbria, LA22 0HP Brathay Hall is the event centre for Trail Pursuit 2021. It is set in beautiful scenery at the centre of the Lake District on the shore of Lake Windermere. Brathay is 1.2 miles from Ambleside, a bustling market town with shops for outdoor enthusiasts & many restaurants, cafes and bars. Travelling by car: With easy access from the M6 (J36 from the South - 28 miles, J40 from the North - 29 miles) A591 to Ambleside, follow the A593 and B5286 for 1.2 miles. Travelling by train: There are excellent rail connections to Windermere station (via Oxenholme on the West Coast mainline) which is only 5 miles from Brathay. Bus and taxi services are available at Windermere station.

At Trail Pursuit 2021 we aren't offering accommodation. Yes. All individual entrants for 5K through to marathon must be aged 17 or over. This is to comply with UK Athletics guidance. For the Kids 1 Mile race any age between 5 - 12 years old.
Absolutely! Sharing the experience is fully encouraged.
Chip timing, live results, friendly, experienced staff and volunteers, first aid cover, event photography & nutrition by Mountain Fuel & Chia Charge. Finishers of the races will also receive an eco medal. Half Marathon & Marathon finishers will also receive a finishers beer.
Your ticket also includes post race: guided yoga, wild swim, athlete speakers & access to the sports expo.
Yes, please do this before the cut off date 7 weeks before the event. This is to ensure administration, timing & logistics are taken care of.
Absolutely. There are two ways to run for charity: sign up and then run for your chosen charity or in some cases charities have bought bundles of tickets in advance and will be advertising on their own website.

NB: An official warm up will take place approximately 15 minutes before the start of each race.
Everyone crossing the finish line will receive a Trail Pursuit: Lake District medal for the distance they have completed. These will be given out in the finish funnel area by one of our amazing community groups.
Kids 1 mile, 5K, 10K, Half Marathon & Marathon races have a range of prizes from our very generous sponsors. Prizes are provided for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (Male/Female)

Our qualified yoga teachers will lead sessions throughout the day. Exact times to be confirmed.
The wild swims will take place at staggered times throughout the day on site in the North Shore of Lake Windermere. Each race distance will have their own slot to enjoy a refreshing swim!
