DATE: Sunday 5th March MEET: 08:45am START TIME: 09:00am DISTANCE: 10K Run START/END POINT: Bolton’s Bench car park, Lyndhurst, SO43 7DA TERRAIN: Woodland trail, grassy fields and moorland soft ground BAG DROP: Not available, please only bring what you need. WHO'S IT FOR?: Anyone new to trail/hill running or those who have some level experience wanting to gain more of an understanding and confidence in trail/hill running in a friendly group setting

. IS THE ROUTE SUITABLE FOR DOGS & CANICROSS RUNNERS?: Yes. Due to narrow paths and some minor obstacles (fallen trees, styles) runners may only run with one dog on a hand held or waist harness and must be confident doing so. PACE: This will be a casual run and we will stick together as a group. Average pace will likely be around 7:00/km but this will slow during the inclines which we will take easily/power hike. This session is FREE. All abilities are welcome.
Please note you MUST have a ticket to attend. If you have any questions please DM your run leader on Instagram @gil_e_mcclure @trail_pursuit. Thanks - Team Trail Pursuit #TrailPursuit

Stories

To me, trail running removes the playing field all together, it removes the boundaries that come from road running and allow you to feel a full sense of adventure and intimacy with the natural world. Going off the beaten path is where I feel alive, free and at my most inspired.

Trail running makes me a happier person, connects me with a nature, which I really enjoy. I feel wild and free when I'm on my trails 🙃

Trail running for me means seeking beauty in nature, having freedom to explore new places & being resilient mentally & physically. What I find special about the Trail Pursuit community is that everyone is so unique, from different places & walks of life yet we share an obsession for the outdoors which breaks barriers for new friendships.

As someone who primarily road runs in the city, getting out on the trail is my escape. It's more than just fresh air, it takes me to a healthy mental place.

Running for me is a daily reprieve from the pressures of daily life. I moved from the road into trail running about two years ago. Hitting the trails gives me a chance to reset my mind and reconnect with body whilst surrounded in beauty and nature.
